1. A guidewire device comprising:
a core having a proximal section and a distal section, the distal section having a smaller diameter than the proximal section;
a tube structure coupled to the core such that the distal section of the core passes into the tube structure and passes distally beyond the tube structure;
an outer coil coupled to a distal end of the tube structure and extending distally from the tube structure; and
an inner coil disposed within the tube structure so as to be positioned between an outer surface of the core and an inner surface of the tube structure, the inner coil being configured in size and shape to abut and directly contact both the outer surface of the core and the inner surface of the tube structure.
