1. A percussive therapy device comprising:
a housing;
an electrical source;
a motor positioned in the housing;
a switch for activating the motor;
a push rod assembly operatively connected to the motor and configured to reciprocate in response to activation of the motor, wherein a massage attachment is configured to be removably received on a distal end of the push rod assembly at a first location; and
an attachment module configured to:
associate with the housing of the percussive therapy device at a second location that is different from the first location,
connect to an outer side the housing of the percussive therapy device at the second location at a same time the massage attachment is received on the distal end of the push rod assembly, and
provide an active effect;
wherein the attachment module is configured to be removable from the housing of the percussive therapy device; and
the housing includes a first electrical connector, and wherein the attachment module includes a second electrical connector in electrical communication with the first electrical connector, wherein connection of the first and second electrical connectors provides electrical communication between the electrical source and the attachment module.

9. A percussive therapy device comprising:
a housing;
an electrical source;
a motor positioned in the housing;
a switch for activating the motor;
a push rod assembly operatively connected to the motor and configured to reciprocate in response to activation of the motor, wherein a massage attachment is configured to be removably received on a distal end of the push rod assembly; and
an attachment module configured to:
removably secure to an outer side of the housing at a different location from the massage attachment at a same time the massage attachment is removably received on the distal end of the push rod assembly, and
electrically communicate with the electrical source;
wherein the attachment module is removably received in a modular recess defined in the housing.

12. A percussive therapy device comprising:
a housing;
an electrical source;
a motor positioned in the housing;
a switch for activating the motor;
a push rod assembly operatively connected to the motor and configured to reciprocate in response to activation of the motor, wherein a massage attachment is configured to be removably received on a distal end of the push rod assembly; and
an attachment module configured to:
removably secure to an outer side of the housing at a different location from the massage attachment at a same time the massage attachment is removably received on the distal end of the push rod assembly, and
electrically communicate with the electrical source;
wherein the attachment module includes a central opening, and wherein at least a portion of the push rod assembly is configured to reciprocate within and relative to the attachment module.
