1. A sensor system comprises:
a plurality of optical sensors on an integrated circuit, wherein the plurality of optical sensors are configured in an array;
a plurality of sets of optical filters atop at least a portion of the array, wherein each set of optical filters is associated with a set of optical sensors of the plurality of optical sensors, wherein a set of optical filters of the plurality of sets of optical filters includes a plurality of optical filters, wherein each optical filter of the plurality of optical filters is configured to pass light in a different wavelength range;
a first interface configured to interface with the plurality of optical sensors;
first processing circuitry operably coupled to the first interface, wherein the first processing circuitry is configured to execute operational instructions to:
receive an output signal from the plurality of optical sensors, wherein the output signal is representative of received light from the plurality of optical sensors and determine a spectral response for each set of optical sensors associated with a set of optical filters;
a second interface configured to interface with the first processing circuitry;
second processing circuitry operably coupled to the second interface, wherein the second processing circuitry is configured to execute operational instructions to:
determine, based on the spectral response for each set of optical sensors associated with a set of optical filters, an illuminant spectrum for each spectral response and substantially remove the illuminant spectrum from the spectral response.
