1. A method of monitoring a control channel by a user equipment in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
obtaining a search space configuration for S search space sets for an active downlink (DL) bandwidth part (BWP) of a cell, wherein the search space configuration, for each set of the S search space sets, includes:
(i) a first parameter indicating a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) monitoring periodicity of ks slots and a PDCCH monitoring offset of os slots, and
(ii) a second parameter including a bitmap having a size L, wherein a size of a group of slots configured for PDCCH monitoring is same as the size L of the bitmap, and wherein the bitmap indicates which slots within the group of slots are configured for the PDCCH monitoring;
monitoring PDCCH candidates for search space set s, from among the S search space sets, for consecutive groups of slots within Ts consecutive slots, based on the search space configuration and based on a (iii) third parameter being present in the search space configuration, wherein the (iii) third parameter indicates a number of the Ts consecutive slots where the search space set s is configured to exist; and
monitoring the PDCCH candidates for the search space set s, for the consecutive groups of slots within the Ts consecutive slots, based on the search space configuration and based on the (iii) third parameter being absent in the search space configuration, wherein the number of the Ts consecutive slots is equal to the size L of the bitmap based on the (iii) third parameter being absent in the search space configuration.
