1. A puncturing information indication method, wherein the method comprises:
generating a physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) comprising a preamble, wherein the preamble comprises location indication information and preamble puncturing information, wherein the preamble puncturing information is carried by a content channel of an extremely high throughput signal (EHT-SIG) field and indicates preamble puncturing status of subchannels of a bandwidth of the PPDU, the location indication information is carried by a universal-SIG (U-SIG) field and indicates a frequency domain location of the content channel, wherein the content channel is distributed on some subchannels of the bandwidth of the PPDU, a bandwidth of the content channel is less than the bandwidth of the PPDU, and the bandwidth of the PPDU is 80 MHz, 160 MHz, or 320 MHz; and sending the PPDU.
