1. An imaging device, comprising:
a display panel including a touch sensor;
image processing circuitry configured to capture an image of an object selected on the display panel including a touch sensor to generate image data;
face recognition processing circuitry configured to execute a face recognition process of the object of the image data;
image recording circuitry configured to record the image data;
composition processing circuitry configured to execute a composition process on a plurality of pieces of image data to generate composite data; and
a controller, wherein
when a touch operation on an icon which is displayed on the display panel and which is used to execute the composition process is detected,
the controller
controls the composition processing circuitry to generate, by a composition process using first image data which is generated by capturing an image by the image processing circuitry and which includes at least a first person and a second person and second image data which is generated by capturing an image by the image processing circuitry within a predetermined time interval from the capture of the first image data and which includes at least the first person, third image data which includes the first person but does not include the second person;
performs control so as to cause the display panel to perform different displays between a case where the composition process by the composition processing circuitry could be executed and a case where the composition process by the composition processing circuitry could not be executed;
when the composition process by the composition processing circuitry could be executed, performs control so that an image after composition having been subjected to the composition process is displayed on the display panel; and
when the composition process by the composition processing circuitry could not be executed, performs control so that a message notifying that the composition process could not be executed is displayed on the display panel.
