1. A self-contained multi-modal communication system comprising:
a cellular network core for providing a private cellular telecommunication network, wherein the private cellular telecommunication network is separate from public cellular telecommunication networks;
a first cellular base station for providing a wireless cell of the private telecommunication network;
a backhaul wireless transceiver implementing a communication modality different from the private cellular telecommunication network;
an embedded edge cloud compute device; and
an automatic failover detection system, wherein the automatic failover detection system receives as input a plurality of network parameters associated with one or more of the private cellular telecommunication network or the backhaul wireless transceiver and automatically performs failover and communication modality switching for one or more communication devices associated with the self-contained multi-modal communication system.
