1. A computer-implemented system for object tracking via identifier-tracker pairings, comprising:
at least one tracker-identifier pair comprising:
a tracker associated with an entity comprising a person or object; and
an identifier comprising information identifying the tracker, wherein the tracker is separate and remote from the identifier when the tracker is associated with the entity; and
a server comprising a central processing unit, memory, an input port to receive the tracker-identifier pair, and an output port, wherein the central processing unit is configured to:
receive from a user information from the identifier to locate the entity;
determine an identity of the tracker that is associated with the identifier by looking up the tracker identity in a database using the information from the identifier that is maintained separate and remote from the tracker;
determine a location of the entity based on a location of the tracker; and
provide the location of the entity to the user.
