1. A modular bioprocessing system, comprising:
(a) one or more cell culture process modules, each of the one or more cell culture process modules configured to:
(i) receive one or more cell culture containers, each of the one or more cell culture containers configured for performing one or more cell culture processes therein, wherein each of the one or more cell culture containers comprises at least one semi-transparent surface permanently attached thereto, wherein the at least one semi-transparent surface is configured to enable light-based cell imaging when illuminated with light within a first wavelength range and enable light-based cell manipulation when illuminated with light within a second wavelength range; and
(ii) manage and monitor cell culture functions of the one or more cell culture processes being performed within the one or more cell culture containers, wherein the managing and monitoring comprise directing the light within the second wavelength range toward adherent cells in the one or more cell culture containers, such that the directed light within the second wavelength range is at least partially absorbed by the at least one semi-transparent surface, to selectively lyse the adherent cells in the one or more cell culture containers;
(b) a server rack, wherein the one or more cell culture process modules are removably located on the server rack; and
(c) one or more shared subsystems on the server rack and supporting the one or more cell culture process modules.
