1. A lubricating oil composition comprising:
a lubricating oil additive comprising nanoparticles dispersed in a base oil; and
a lubricating oil comprising the lubricating oil additive dispersed therein,
wherein the nanoparticles include a core comprising a nanodiamond, a shell surrounding the core and a ceramic layer surrounding the core, the ceramic layer being placed between the core and the shell, and
wherein the shell comprises at least one of an unsaturated fatty acid and an amine-based compound, and the ceramic layer is surface-treated by at least one of the unsaturated fatty acid and the amine-based compound.
