1. A smart soccer goal for generating a simulated player path, the smart soccer goal comprising:
a goal frame;
a net coupled to the goal frame;
one or more sensors coupled to the goal frame; and
a processor in communication with the one or more sensors, wherein the processor:
receives a first set of sensor data from the one or more sensors indicating locations and movements of a first player;
maps the locations and movements to a spotlight pattern, the spotlight pattern including a range of movements of a spotlight on a surface that match the locations and movements of the first player;
controls a spotlight device to shine a spotlight onto the surface according to the spotlight pattern;
while controlling the spotlight device to shine the spotlight onto the surface according to the spotlight pattern, receives a second set of sensor data of locations and movements of a second player from the one or more sensors;
determines one or more characteristics of the second player based on the received second set of sensor data; and
stores an association between the determined one or more characteristics and the spotlight pattern in a profile for the second player.
