1. A reassortant virus comprising a donor influenza virus polynucleotide sequence comprising at least one gene, genomic segment, or a polynucleotide encoding a canine influenza virus protein selected from the group consisting of HA, NA, NP, MA, PB1, PB2, PA, and NS, or a functional or immunogenic fragment thereof and comprising a nucleotide sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NOs: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31, 47, 49, 51, 53, 55, 57, 59, 61, 63, 65, 67, 69, 71, 73, 75, and 77 and a recipient influenza virus genome from a second influenza virus.
