1. A non-transitory computer readable medium including instructions, which when executed by a controller of an electronic smoking device, cause the controller to:
detect a sensor activation based on a smoking action;
receive a battery voltage from a battery in response to the sensor activation;
read a memory for at least one heater parameter;
determine a type of solution within a liquid reservoir of the electronic smoking device;
determine a pulse width modulation for a heater control based on the battery voltage, the determined type of solution, and the at least one heater parameter; and
drive a heater of the electronic smoking device at the determined pulse width modulation, wherein the determined pulse width modulation drives the heater to a predetermined temperature based on the determined type of solution,
wherein the type of solution with the liquid reservoir is determined based on the response of the heater.
