26. A method for selectively preventing a microphone of a mobile device from discerning one or more audio signals, the method comprising:
enabling, by a blocker device affixed to the mobile device and based on a determination of a position or an orientation of the mobile device, a blocking mode, wherein, during the blocking mode, the blocker device outputs a jamming signal that prevents the microphone of the mobile device from discerning one or more first audio signals while allowing one or more other inputs of the mobile device to receive one or more signals;
detecting a change of at least one of a position or an orientation of the blocker device, wherein the change of the at least one of the position or the orientation of the blocker device corresponds to a change in the position or the orientation of the mobile device;
detecting a user's grip on the blocker device;
determining, based on the change of the at least one of the position or the orientation of the blocker device and based on detecting the user's grip, that a gesture input corresponding to a trigger to enter a pass-through mode has been received;
based on the determining that the gesture input has been received, disabling the blocking mode and enabling a pass-through mode, wherein, during the pass-through mode, the blocker device allows the microphone of the mobile device to discern one or more second audio signals; and
based on a determination to end the pass-through mode, re-enabling the blocking mode.
