1. A system for providing intelligent bandwidth prioritization, the system comprising:
at least one processor; and
a memory coupled to the at least one processor, the memory including instructions that when executed by the at least one processor operate to:
select a prioritization policy to apply to an access point operating on a local network, wherein the prioritization policy comprises a plurality of traffic classifications, and wherein the prioritization policy selection is based on one or more attributes and/or factors of the local network;
receive a traffic flow at the access point;
classify the traffic flow according to a traffic classification of the selected prioritization policy;
apply a priority value to the traffic flow based on the traffic classification;
assign the traffic flow to a classification-based queue corresponding to the priority value;
process the traffic flow based on parameters of the assigned queue for delivering the traffic flow to an intended device of the local network;
monitor the traffic flow;
determine whether the traffic flow in the local network has degraded; and
if the traffic flow in the local network is determined to have degraded, dynamically modify the prioritization policy being applied to the access point.
