1. A method performed by one or more network devices, the method comprising:
storing parameters for a co-managed configuration service, wherein the parameters identify exposed services for an enterprise network that uses equipment in a provider network;
identifying a network function (NF) manager for network functions that support the exposed services;
receiving, via a customer portal, a change request for one of the exposed services, wherein the change request includes a change request number and a unique response reference number;
receiving, from a change manager device in the provider network, a copy of the unique response reference number associated with the change request number;
confirming that the copy matches the unique response reference number of the change request;
invoking, in response to the change request, a configuration change for the network functions using the NF manager when receipt of the unique response reference number and the copy are confirmed; and
generating a transaction record for invoking the change request.
