1. A media pre-processing system comprising:
at least one processor; and
at least one computer readable storage medium having stored therein machine-readable instructions that, upon execution by the at least one processor, cause the media pre-processing system to at least:
determine a difference based on first and second frequency components of an audio signal associated with media being pre-processed prior to distribution, the first and second frequency components indicative of energy levels of the audio signal associated with respective frequency values at a given time of the audio signal;
determine, based on the difference, to perform at least one of: (A) boosting the first frequency component of the audio signal at the given time or (B) attenuating the second frequency component of the audio signal at the given time; and
generate an enhanced audio signal by performing the determined one of (A) the boosting the first frequency component of the audio signal at the given time in the audio signal or (B) the attenuating the second frequency component of the audio signal at the given time in the audio signal.
