1. A blower, comprising:
a housing including an inlet and an outlet,
wherein the inlet and the outlet are co-axially aligned;
a bearing-housing structure provided to the housing and configured to rotatably support a rotor;
a motor provided to the bearing-housing structure, the motor including at least a stator assembly; and
an impeller provided to the rotor,
wherein the bearing-housing structure includes a bearing shaft having an exterior surface and an interior bearing surface, wherein the stator assembly is provided along the exterior surface of the bearing shaft and the rotor is rotatably supported by the interior bearing surface of the bearing shaft, wherein the bearing shaft provides only a single bearing of a non-ball bearing type for the rotor,
wherein the interior bearing surface is configured as a sleeve bearing along an exterior surface of the rotor to facilitate rotation of the rotor,
wherein the bearing-housing structure includes an annular disk having an outer edge that substantially aligns with or extends radially beyond an outer edge of the impeller to provide a shielding function, and
wherein the annular disk is integrally formed in one-piece with the bearing shaft.
