1. A golf club head comprising:
a body having a strike face with a plurality of channels;
wherein the strike face comprises a first material;
wherein the channels are formed within the first material such that each channel is separated from other channels by the first material;
wherein each channel of the plurality of channels is symmetrical about a first axis;
wherein the first axis is substantially perpendicular to a width of the first channel; and
at least one insert located entirely within at least one of the channels;
wherein:
the at least one of the channels comprises a single groove;
the at least one insert forms at least a portion of the single groove;
the single groove is symmetrical about the first axis;
wherein the single groove comprises walls that are made from the at least one insert;
the at least one insert comprises convex walls on both sides of the first axis, when viewed as a cross-section; and
the single groove has a substantially constant volume across a length of the single groove.
