1. A method for neuromodulation energy delivery, the method comprising:
detecting or determining that a neuromodulation element of a catheter is deployed into stable contact with a wall of a vessel at a treatment location within a patient, the neuromodulation element being coupled to an elongate shaft of the catheter;
determining an inner diameter of the vessel at the treatment location based on a change in a physical configuration of the catheter in response to deployment of the neuromodulation element when the neuromodulation element is in contact with the wall of the vessel; and
controlling or adjusting neuromodulation energy delivered to the neuromodulation element to modulate one or more nerves at or near the treatment location within the vessel based on the inner diameter of the vessel.
